Hi, I’m Sean.
Hi, I’m Sean — a doctoral candidate in Depth Psychology, a Masters in Public Health, a curious human, and someone who has spent a lot of time asking big questions (and not pretending to know the answers).
Before diving into the depths of the unconscious, I worked in international public health. I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer, helped lead nonprofits, and chaired a few too. Through that work, I began to notice something: mental health — especially for men — was often left out of the conversation. That gap became a doorway.
My own journey brought me face-to-face with the unspoken expectations we place on the masculine. I’ve struggled with them, unraveled them, and continue to meet them with curiosity. I do my own work — and I know what it’s like to be guarded, locked up, and slowly learning how to open.
My doctoral research explores the colonization and commodification of indigenous ritual. I also hold a master’s in Public Health and study esoteric traditions, with a particular reverence for the unconscious. I live by the Rumi quote: “What you seek is seeking you.” I believe what stirs below the surface matters — and I’ve learned that asking questions is often more powerful than answering them.
A few more things about me:
– I was the lead in my 4th-grade play (still proud)
– I lived in Cambodia for three years, and Patagonia for one
– I’m a backcountry skier and one of those animal people (yes, they’re tattooed on my arm)
– I’ve been published in the Journal of Transpersonal Psychology
– I’m both skeptical and soulful
– And I’m good at disarming other men — maybe because I know how armor is built
Above all, I care deeply about intimacy, truth, and the quiet courage it takes to heal.
