HAVEN COHORT VII

Barriers to Emotional Intimacy: An Eight-Session Men’s Immersion

Are you ready to explore the deeper layers of yourself and your relationships? Our eight-part immersion on Barriers to Emotional Intimacy is designed for men who want to break through old patterns, challenge limiting beliefs, and cultivate more meaningful connection with themselves and the people they care about.

This work isn’t about “fixing” anything—it’s about learning to see yourself more clearly. Together, we explore the unconscious patterns that shape your relationships, your emotional life, and the ways you learned to protect yourself long before you had language for any of it.

What This Cohort Offers

  • Deep self-reflection to uncover and understand your emotional patterns

  • Tools for identifying and working through limiting beliefs that affect intimacy and trust

  • A structured, supportive environment to build meaningful bonds with other men

  • Guided practices that foster vulnerability, grounded expression, and authentic connection

  • A place to explore masculinity in a way that feels honest, embodied, and human

  • A path toward deeper emotional fluency, including naming, regulating, and expressing what’s actually happening inside

What You’ll Get Out of It

By the end of the immersion, men typically walk away with:

  • A clearer understanding of their personal barriers to emotional intimacy

  • More awareness of how past experiences shape current relationships

  • A grounded ability to communicate emotional truth without collapsing or armoring up

  • A deeper sense of inner steadiness, self-respect, and relational capacity

  • A felt experience of what healthy male support can look like

  • Practical skills for navigating conflict, closeness, boundaries, and vulnerability

  • Strong connections with the other men in your cohort, strengthened even during off-weeks through intentional check-ins and small group interactions

This isn’t theoretical—everything is experiential, embodied, and applied directly to your lived life.

How We Meet: The Eight-Session Journey

We gather once a week for eight sessions. Each meeting blends:

  • Short psychoeducation segments on emotional intimacy, identity, conditioning, and masculine patterns

  • Triads and breakout work for practicing in real time

  • Journaling prompts to deepen introspection

  • Group discussion that supports men in being fully seen and heard

  • Embodiment practices to help move from intellectual insight to actual integration

Off-weeks are also an essential part of the journey, giving men opportunities to stay connected, share experiences, and deeply bond with their cohort in meaningful ways.

We will be meeting virtually through Google Meet.

A Note on Readiness

This cohort is profoundly deep and not for everyone. Previous engagement with Haven Men’s Work is encouraged. Most men who join experience real self-recognition, expanded emotional awareness, and the ability to form deeper, healthier relationships—including with other men.

If you’re unsure whether this is the right fit, please reach out directly:

Cost: $850.00

Haven Men’s Hike

Join us for a Haven men’s hike in the Millcreek area, hosted by Haven participant Todd. This is an opportunity to get outside together, move our bodies, and connect in a low-pressure, grounded way. Conversation is welcome, silence is welcome, and the emphasis is on being present rather than performing.

After the hike, we’ll gather for a group lunch nearby to continue the connection and enjoy time together off the trail.

This hike is open to Haven participants and men who are curious about the work and want to experience the community in an organic setting.

If you’re interested in joining, please text Todd at 801.472.5918 for details and logistics.

Come as you are. Lace up your shoes. Let the rest unfold.

Haven Workshop on Healthy Grieving for Men

Inspired by the work of Francis Weller, Jungian depth psychology, and Sufi wisdom

At Haven Men’s Work, we hold grief as sacred. In a world that often encourages us to suppress or avoid sorrow, we gather to honor it — not as weakness, but as a gateway to deeper connection, authenticity, and healing.

This workshop is a space for men to come together in honest reflection, emotional courage, and communal presence. As a therapist and facilitator, I draw on multiple streams of wisdom, including the soulful framework of Francis Weller’s Five Gates of Grief, Jungian archetypal psychology, and the heart-centered teachings of Sufi mysticism, to guide us into meaningful encounters with our inner landscapes.
